Delete Your Account

Request deletion of your Acumi account and associated data

What happens depends on whether you have used Acumi with a clinic

If you have only ever used Acumi on your own, deleting your account removes everything permanently and it cannot be recovered. If you are, or have been, under the care of a clinic through Acumi, that clinic holds the records from your care and is required to keep them, so we cannot delete those for you. We will pass your request to them.

This must be the email address associated with your Acumi account.

What happens when you delete your account?

You can also do this in the app, under Settings, then Account, then Delete account.

If you have only used Acumi on your own

  • Your personal information (name, email, date of birth) is deleted
  • Your check-ins, medicines, notes and settings are permanently removed
  • It is immediate in the app, and cannot be undone

If you are, or have been, with a clinic

  • Your clinic holds the records from your care and is required to keep them, so Acumi cannot delete those for you
  • We tell your clinic you want to close your account, and they will be in touch about what happens next
  • This process may take up to 30 days to complete

Under UK data protection law the right to erasure does not apply where an organisation must keep records to meet a legal obligation. Health and care providers are required to retain patient records, so your clinic decides what can be removed and when.
